# Context pack

[`get_context_pack`](/tools/read-discovery#get_context_pack) (and `GET /api/v1/context-pack`)
returns this surface's **agent context pack**: one markdown document carrying the grounding
contract, the locked metric semantics (Monday-start weeks, ROAS as Σrevenue/Σspend, rates
recomputed rather than averaged, the display-format and ad-network vocabularies), the BigQuery
mart catalog with its dbt documentation, and the full tool reference.

Load it into your agent's context once per session before answering questions about the data. It
is generated from the same registry as this documentation's source reference and carries the same
version hash.

`GET /api/v1/context-pack` runs the same pipeline as any tool call, so it consumes a rate-limit
unit and is audited. The pack is static per deployment: cache it against the returned
`meta.version` and re-fetch only when that changes.
